The facts in answer to these questions, so far a8 they are known to the commission, are as follows: The reservation on the Muddy is we?] known to both of tbe'commissiouern. There is aome good lend and plenty of water; there are no valuable hunting grounds on the reservatiuo, or in the vicinity, but there are stream8 fmrrl which a greater or less sup-ply of fish can be t.aken; and the natnral prod~~ootfs the aoil, which are somewhat abuudai~tw, ould he of valne as a sottrca of partial aobaistence until they could learn to farm for themselves. The timber is distant from the district where the farms must nei:e8sarily be naado, but the olimste is good for nont,hern Indians, and. the reservation will Away8 be isolated from other settlements.
