Show - 17- O'N: When you first moved here did you have a car? PD: Yah. O'N: I see. PD; From there, yah. O'N: Yah. So that you had a way to go places. PD: Um hum. O'N: Um hum, I see. When you went to Allen Canyon that time, did you like living up there? PD: Yah, it was kind of good, you know, just like the way I x- yant it. You know, the way I xtfant to live. Open place to roam around or however. O'N: Like Mancos Canyon. PD: It's just like Mancos Canyon, yah. O'N: Very interesting. Now your life is here xtfith White Mesa. Do you go back to Towaoc or Mancos Canyon very often? PD: Yah, I go over there. I used to go there every week- end but it seems like I'm slowing down as I'm getting old. O'N: A lot of your family are over there? PD: Yah. O'N: Um hum. Do you think that things are pretty good at White Mesa now? PD: I think so. The way the people are, you know, I think they're satisfied and all that. O'N: What improvements have made you satisfied? PD: I don't know. Deep inside of me I'm still with my old ways and doing my old Indian ways inside of me and a lot of times I can't make up my mind. I'm sitting alone and I just can't hold myself |
