The second, or Uinta agency, to the east, included a l l of the Snatfes or ShoQhonaa within the Territory, the Uinta, and Yarcpah, and a l l other tribea south, within the Territory, and east of the eastern rini of the Great Basin. The t h i r d . o r Parowan agency, to t h e south, included a l l the country lying weat of the eastern rim of the Great Basin, and south of the south line of the Parvan Valley, 1 to the western bounds of the Territory. While Young thus divided the agendas, he had not, of course, either the powers of appointment of Indian -^ 2 agents, or of the appropriation of government funds.
