Description |
"Viruses are important causes not only of human systemic disease but also of neurologic and visual disease. It is not the purpose of this chapter to consider all known viruses that produce human disease or to consider all diseases produced by those viruses. Instead, we will restrict this chapter to those viruses that produce disease of neuro-ophthalmologic significance, with the exception of retroviruses, which are of such unique importance that they are discussed in Chapter 58." |
