Show -6129th Tuesday Took breakfast then drove about 3 1/2 miles mud which would sometimes let the wagons in to the hubo We had to double a great deal, camped for the night at some houses and drove our oxen about 1 mile to feed, but it was poore March 1st Wednesdayo Got up our oxen, took breakfast then drove through mud 2 "f/2 miles to Glendale where we stopped for 2 hours at To Smith's wuen one oxen got some hay, and we got a good dirmer, then drove thro:ugh Glendale on very ruddy road and when out a little ways from Ge had to leave my wagon and LeSmith's wagon and took the other two with all our oxen 1 1/2 miles from Go and camped for the night turned our oxen out on better feed t:han they have had for some time March 2nd ThursdaYe Took breakfast & looked after oxen, they were on fair feede Lo Rogers went to Orderville 1 1/2 miles and brought 3 yoke oxen, arid we went back after the two wagons we left on the road yesterday and brought all four wagons to Order ville, and got our oxen fed on straw and chaff and took supper with the people of orderville at the long tables Here is about 15 families, they eat together at one table, have one stock yard, .and are building one dwelling house, they raised 3000 Bus one wheat last year and expect to save 1000 Bus to lay up besides making their cloth and raising stock, corn, molasses, &C. '3rd Fridayo Fed our oxen some chaff. Nice warm day, though windy, no snow here, in the valley. Stopped here today as two of Lo Smiths oxen is give out and have sent word 20 miles to Kanab where he is!> Wrote letter to father, sorted my potatoes as some of them were froze, about 1/4 of them, filled my bed tick with straw. Tended meeting in evening where James A. Little spoke of his mission to the States, of his visit to Independence, Missouri and the Hill Cumorah , to me it was an interesting discourse. March 6th MondaYa Bought some corn Some of the boys traded for fresh oxen. About 11 oclock a"m. we left Orderville and went about 1 mile when we had to double, putting 4 yoke oxen to a wagon, the mud 'vould fill up the wheels entirely and make it very hard pulling" Doubled for 1 1/2 miles and came to Mount Carmel and stopped there for the night, turned our oxen out, took supper with Nephi .Jo l Iy, 7th Tuesday" Got up the oxene Took breakfast with N.
