April 25,2002 Iron County Emergency Drought Declaration Request assistance from USBoR, BLM, and 1 USDA { USFS, FSA, and RD) in water : development; Anticipate continued adverse effects to agricultural producers, tourism. Request State coordinate with Congress and make and culinary water needs in Iron County; Stale resources available to residents and : Anticipate continued economic impact to county including declining businesses; : prices for agricultural products; Request State DCED meet with business owners Anticipate fire restrictions to be put into place as drought worsens; and assist with loans, grants, etc. j Anticipate limited fire fighting resources.
