Sweazey,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Mr. Sweazey,

I have a request to make of you, which if you can grant I shall consider a very great favor. Two friends of mine from Albany will be in Salt Lake next Sunday, the 17th. They wish to see something of the city and especially wish to go to the Tabernacle and hear the organ. These two persons are Miss Roach who has been the instructor in vocal music in our college for the past year; she will not be here next year and is on her way home, Rushville, Ill.; and Miss Schmitt, who is a sister of the Mr. Schmitt whom I knew at Park College, The Schmitts have been very kind to me this year, and I have been at their home a great deal, and I would consider it a very great favor if you could help them see something of Salt Lake. They will arrived [sic] at Salt Lake Sunday morning. They will go to the Wilson Hotel I think. Now, if you can find time to call there for them and take them to the teabernacle [sic] service in the afternoon, I will be very grateful to you. This is a big favor to ask, but I ask it, feeling that you know that I would be glad to do a similar service for you sometime if the opportunity ever comes. Miss Schmitt is on her way to Iowa where she will visit with a brother, and then go on to Chicago to study vocal music.

We are just at the closing of our school year. Our commencement exercises take place tomorrow morning. I am chairman of the faculty committee to arrange for the commencement exercises, so I have more than my hands full. Our commencement week has passed off very nicely so far.

Thanking you in advance for the great favor I am asking, I am,

Very sincerely,

S. Herbert Anderson

|
