Sweazey,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Sir:-

Your letter of the 16th inst., in reply to ours of the 9th, with regard to the possibilities of a sale of the Collegiate Institute property, came during my absence at the General Assembly. At about the same time came a letter from Dr. Donaldson, agreeing practically with yours in the matter of the value of the property.

I shall now place this whole matter before our Finance Committee at its meeting on the 13th inst., and we shall write you a little later with regard to the whole subject.

In reply to your post script regarding rates for the teachers, I would say that in response to a letter received from you some time ago, we followed your suggestion by writing to the General Agent of the Trans-Continental Clergy Bureau, giving him an official list of our teachers in Utah and Idaho, which list he acknowledged. If no favorable response has been received to the applications made by the teachers for the annual certificate, I very much fear that nothing further can be done, as we put the matter as strongly as possible, making it clear that the teachers were employed first and mainly as missionaries.

Yours very truly,

Harvey C. Olin
Treasurer.

|
