Show Woman's Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church,
156 Fifth Ave., New York, N.Y.

New York, October 24, 1904.

Dictated.

Mr. George B. Sweazey,
Salt Lake City, Utah.

My dear Sir: -

Your note, with enclosed scholarship letter, at hand. It is just such a letter as we shall be glad to send to our contributing societies.

With this I will send you a list of the societies having scholarships in the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute, so that the other letters be sent directly from the school. Some of the societies may wish to have individual pupils assigned. If so, will you kindly give them, the name of the pupil, after correspondence, and in writing mention their scholarship pupil in a way that will continue their interest.

In the higher schools and colleges we encourage our societies, as far as possible, to take general rather than individual scholarships, and I think most of these societies are perfectly satisfied with this arrangement.

Thanking you for your promptness in sending your letter,

I am,

Very cordially yours,

V.M. White

Scholarship list will follow.

|
