Show August 8, 1951

Miss Elizabeth L. Jackson
The Concord
Washington D.C.

Dear Miss Jackson:
The box of material from your father's library reached me in excellent shape. The three volumes of scrap books have much material of value to me. I have gone through them all and make note of material that I will want to use when I get more fully into the work of writing.
I have recently been helping the college to secure funds to avert a deficit which I am glad to say we succeeded in doing and am now turning again to history work.
You are perhaps familiar with the "Opportunity Gifts" which the women's society are making to Westminster and the Westminster Foundation at the U. of Wyoming. We have already received some thousands of dollars and workmen are busy rebuilding the west porch steps, rewiring the girl's rooms in Ferry Hall* and putting down asphalt tile in the dining room which had been sound proofed. It will add much to making the girl's dormitory a modern structure=.
I think I recall that you worte of moving but I am addressing you at the old address. Thank you again for your help.

Yours cordially,
H.W. Reherd

* handwritten inserts in the original typewritten document

|
