Show May 9, 1951 <br><br> Miss Sheldon Jackson <br> The Concord Apts. <br> 1701 Swan St. <br> Washington, 9 D.C. <br><br> Dear Miss Jackson: <br> The box of historical material which you sent me arrived yesterday in good condition. I opened the box and found everything in good shape. Since I am at present pretty busy "breaking in" a new Director of Public Relations at the college I am laying aside your material until after commencement when I can get at it for uninterrupted study. <br> When I have finished with it I will arrange to have it filed away in our fire proof vault for future reference. <br> Can you tell me how I can get in touch with any relatives of Gen. Eaton who was the first President of Westminster when it was called Sheldon Jackson College? If that information is in the mate ial you sent I will find it in due time ;otherwise I should be glad of information leading to his relatives. In this letter to Miss Jackson, Herbert Reherd announces he has received her box of historical material in good condition, and that he must put it aside for the time being as he is training a new Director of Public Relations at Westminster College of Salt Lake City, Utah. He then asks Miss Jackson how he may contact any relatives of General Eaton, president of Westminster College from 1895-1902. In closing, he thanks Miss Jackson for her help. Herbert Reherd served as president of Westminster College from 1913-1939. |
