CHURCH. <br> The first quarterly meeting of the general, executive Board of the Woman's Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal church, was held at the Book Concern, Cincinnati, O., Jan. 23rd and 24th. <br> The report of the treasurer, Mrs. J. W. Mindenhall exhibited receipts as $15,683.13, disbursements $15,565.50, balance in treasury, $117.63. <br> Mrs. W. M. Ampt reported the distribution of 3,942 mite boxes during the quarter. <br> Information of a bequest of $2,000 from the late Mrs. Lucinda J. Burton, of Evanston, Ill., was gratefully received. <br> Mrs. E. L. Albright was commissioned to visit the homes located in the Bureau for East Central States, the charge of which she has recently assumed as secretary. <br> King Home, Marshall Texas, has 27 girls and is self-supporting; the New Jersey Home, Morrison, Tenn., has a larger number of girls than ever before.
