Show ELDON BAXTER SEPTEMBER 21, 2001 BEC: State Street? ELD: State Street. Uh-huh. That's no longer there. There Is some business going on there, but they closed that up. BEC: The hospital part. Yeah. ELD: Yeah. And then this place opened up In the South Town. And she's been there for about three years now Her pay IS excellent. She's making good money And she works three days a week, twelve hours a day So she gets the full benefits. BEC: other days off. ELD: Yeah. That's nice to put three long days In and then have all those Yeah. She can accumulate her sick leave, her vacation, and she has the Insurance that is covered. And she was up here Monday and took me and the wife to the doctor Now, the doctor, I say, me and the wife. I took the wife to the doctor, with her help. And she IS a very, very-I don't know what I'd do without her It's too bad that we couldn't have more than one child. Now, she's fifty-two years old now She was born in 1950 BEC: Do you have any grandchildren? ELD: No-Yes! I do I have one grandchild. He's twenty-nine years old. And he hves In Austin, Texas. He's doing very well there. He's a carpenter Now, we hear from him quite often. Either he calls us or we call him. But he IS not married. But he Is going with a girl that he likes very much. And perhaps, we feel that he IS going to marry her in the near future. BEC: Well, that's great you've got your daughter living so close here. That's really nice. 25 |
