Show THI IS AN INTERVIEW WITH GLENN PARKIN OF ORTH LT L UTAH. TODAY IS AUGUST 17,2001. THIS I JOEL CALDERO CONDUCTING THE INTERVIEW FOR THE AMERICAN WE T CENTER. JOEL: Mr. Parkin, can you please tell us where you grew up and where you went to school, and how you ended up in the Navy? GLENN: Well, to begin with my parents were both born and raised in Bountiful, so, of course, I was born and raised in Bountiful. GLENN: Yes, my older brother was three-and-a-half years older than I. He was in the National Guard and he was called on active duty I think in September, or let's say, approximately six months before me. I went in February 14, 1941. My brother, just 1 |
