Show EUNOS Neuro-Ophthalmology Update Course Held at Schloss Au, Switzerland, June 10-11, 2014 The European Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (EUNOS) along with the University of Zürich hosted an update course in neuro-ophthalmology in a castle, Schloss Au, on the Lake of Zürich June 10-11, 2014. In this very pictur-esque setting, participants from over 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States met to roll up their sleeves in case-based learning sessions. This was the second conference of its type. Jonathan Trobe, MD, University of Michigan was the course director. He presented 4 sessions including: Visual loss, Diplopia, Eye Movements, and Pupil. Each session was introduced by a short introductory lecture by Dr. Trobe, outlining the key points about making a diagnosis. Cases for each section represented challenges neuro-ophthalmologists face daily in practice. The attendees broke into small work groups that moved to a small room to work through the cases with the help of a "tutor" who, along with the par-ticipants, discussed the major features of the case and treatment options. The groups then returned to the main lecture hall for a discussion of the "answers" lead by the tutors (Fig. 1). A special guest David Zee, MD of Johns Hopkins University brought his expertise in teaching eye movements and assisted in the diagnosis of causes of supranuclear gaze paresis and nystagmus. While Jonathan Trobe organized the course material, the logistical management for the 100 attendees went to Konrad Weber who not only had materials printed for attendees, projectors and screens in breakout rooms, but also arranged meals, and even a ride on the historic boat, MS Etzel, on the Lake of Zürich to the meeting dinner. The next EUNOS meeting will be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, June 21-25, 2015. Kathleen B.
