Sweazey, Supt., <br> Salt Lake City, Utah. <br><br> My dear Mr. Sweazey:- <br><br> You are doubtless aware that it is in the mind of the Board to dispose of the collegiate Institute property in the city of Salt Lake when a reasonable price can be obtained therefor, and to use the funds thus obtained for the erection of new buildings upon the property which it is proposed to set aside on the Westminster College campus at the edge of your city. <br><br> I am now directed by the Finance Committee of the Board to ascertain as closely as is possible the value of the property now occupied by the school, and the possibility of a sale. Might I ask you to make inquiries of reliable and well informed people along these lines, and give us the benefit of the information. <br><br> Thanking you in advance for any suggestions which you may deem it wise to make, I am, <br><br> Very truly yours, <br><br> H. In this letter to George B. Sweazey, Harvey C. Olin writes of plans to sell property of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, in order to fund the building of Westminster College. He then asks Mr. Sweazey for help in finding the value of the property to be sold. Mr. Olin is the treasurer of the Board of Home Missions of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A., and was told by the Finance Committee to obtain the information. Mr. Sweazey is the principal of the Salt Lake Collegiate Institute. |
