Show THE CHURCH REVIEW.
PRESBYTERIAN.
VOL. 3. / SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, FEBRUARY 17, 1895. / No. 8.

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN.
Notwithstanding the stormy weather, which kept some away, there was an interesting meeting of the Men's League last Tuesday evening. The next meeting will be on Tuesday evening, Feb. 26th. The following is the subject for discussion at that meeting, to be opened by President Colton: "The Relative Value of Appeals to the Reason and to the Emotions in Religious Work."
The ministers of the city have planned to devote Sunday evening, Feb. 24th, to the claims of prohibition and the importance of submitting the question to the people in a separate article of the new Constitution. This was the course pursued in both North and South Dakota. We can think of no one thing in the way of reform that would bring greater blessing to Utah than putting an end to the curse of the saloon business.
Dr. Hunter is having a serious time with his foot. |
