This collection includes a microprint of all newspapers in America from the beginning to about 182 0. 10. Encyclopedia Britannica's Library of American Civilization. This collection of more than 20,000 titles printed in ultra-microfiche would have produced a high duplication rate for the University of Utah Libraries. By special arrangement with Encyclopedia Britannica, we were able to select only those titles which were not already in our collection. The result was the purchase of approximately 12,000 titles of basic material covering all phases of American civilization. Approx. $9,000 .11. These newspapers r ' were printed in the Intermountain region and include approximately 3,000 reels of film of Utah newspapers. $27,250 12.
