Show Seattle, Wash. May 23rd 1890 <br><br> Dear Bro McNeice <br><br> While waiting for the steamers at this place I have been interested in the movements to secure a Presbyterian College in this city. The Synod of Washington several years ago established "Whitworth College" at Sumner in this state. Now all effort is being made to change the location from Sumner to Seattle. The citizens of Seattle have given 200 acres of land beautifully located about 2 miles from the heart of the city The necessary papers are being made out to transfer the land to the college - Seattle has a pop[ulation] <br><br> |
