Show LK MK LK MK LK MK LK MK days. Very cocky. If he was more American. He was more American than anybody else because of it, I think. He was not, he was not one of us. At the beginning. Well, I know we didn't speak too well of him. At the beginning. But the war broke out I think things changed. I guess he didn't realize he was Japanese and I think on that basis I think his attitude changed completely for as to today a most distinguished nisei. Uh huh. And he's done a lot for the Japanese. Had the JACL changed by 1943? Was it a different organization than two years before? Well, in 1943, most of the JACL members were in camp. But was the organization's philosophy different? Did it become more mature? Oh, yes, oh, yes. We tried to become mature. We tried to become adults. We tried to change our ways from happy-go-lucky youngsters to more serious - how are we going to deal with this war situation. The people were being evacuated. Yeah, we became very political minded so to speak. We tried to become, I think, the beginning of it started at that particular time. Right. Were you conscious of your public world? Oh, yes, oh, yes.
