As a matter of fact, even when I was in the service, and I was snationed in San Antonio, I didn't think anything about going into -- you go to the theatres and - go sit in any place youwanted to. But after seeing a sign there that says, Colored Balcony, and I noticed thatnone of the - ah - the Hispanics and none of the Blacks - went through the front you might say ticket office. They never went thorugh the front line and into the theatre. They had t go around to the back and go up, get their tickets, in the colored balcony .. And sit infue balcony. And I thought that - that was always alittle strange becuase when I was in the army and we had to ______ _ in Japan, see. The first class tickets, we had ~he priceson those tickets. So it was the highest price tickets, were the first class tickets, and they were all in the balcony. And the - and the - mainfate or the lower priced tickets was right on themain floor. SF Close to the screen. JK That's right .So it wasjust the reverse as far as where you're going to view thepicture - the movies. SF That's funny. JK Yeah, it E. SF Where did you go to Dental school. JK At the University of California. SF Yeah. Ah, How did you - After you went to school here, andyougraduated fromhere •. ok? |
