Soyou had to go at a certain time to et, like the army. Same thing. L Morning. Noon, dinner. IO When we- like our barrack, when we went in our block, nothing, no mess hall or nothing, so we had to go to other ones that were already established by theother people that come earlier. Sowe had to go and eat at a different kitchen until they got ours going. For the people from your own block. We actually worked in the kitchen andstuff like that, see. L Were there guards around the place. IO Oh, yeah. Barbed wire. And they had watch towers. Search lights going. Guards around there. They had army people there, MPs. L Soyou knew you were--did you know you were prisoners. IO Well, actually, yeah, because you can't go anyplace. That's actually what we were. Just like a prisoner of war camp actually. L Didyou know that then? IO Oh, yeah. We knew that when we went there. We knew we were going to be in - what did they call it, they call it a detention camp or whatever you want to call it. They didn't actually classify us I guess as prisoners of war. But that actually was what it amounted |
