Show Z%', I oj // January 18, 1951 Mr. William B. Terry 1304 Northview Road Baltimore 18, Maryland Dear Bill: It was very nice meeting you with Gladys again with the Albrights at Baltimore. It certainly looked like good old times save for the fact that you have grown horizontally rather than perpendicularly. The main thing is that you both looked very well - touch wood. Here in the Library, I am in the throes of editing the microfilms of the Arabic Collection and the Firmans, Both are perfect, end both are a credit to those who maneuvered the cameras B and C for me. This afternoon, I had the pleasure of a call from Wendell who came to see me in the Library. I was glad to find him in better health. Wendell told me that he had written to you about sending me a set of the photographs taken in and around the Monastery. I hope you will kindly give this matter your attention && I am in dire need of as full a range of photographs a® possible for purposes of illustrating the work of the Expedition and the Foundation in my lectures up and down the country. As you know, during the Expedition, my time and all my efforts were taken up by ihe Expedition work, and I had to depend on you for these photographs. Thus I had to leave this matter entirely to your good offices, and I am sure you will be generous in your selection of the set. On this basis, I am not going to specify any particular photographs at present, and I trust that what you are sending »e will represent all aspects of the Expedition on the road, in the workroom and at the Monastery in general. Thanks a million in anticipation. lours sincerely, Azis S. Atiya |
