Show Page 2 Professor Aziz S. Atiya May 20, 1960 It is very flattering that you and your colleagues would like to have a showing of the Sinai material, I am sure this can be arranged. Since the exhibit is the property of our Art Museum and since its Director, Professor Charles E. Sawyer, is now in Europe, I shall have to await his return before I can inform you about the practical arrangements. There will surely be no problem. It would be particularly advantageous to us if you would be willing to accompany the exhibition with a public lecture on Mount Sinai. No one is as well equipped for the purpose as you are. As soon as Sawyer returns, I shall bring this opportunity to his attention. As to taking some refrigerator parts to Mr. Abdallah Ragab, we shall be happy to do so, and it is no trouble at all. Even if it were, we should be delighted to serve him. He assisted us and entertained us in Cairo in 1958 with the greatest friendliness. Our crates are scheduled to leave here toward the end of July. If you could, therefore, send us the items before that date, we shall attend to the rest. Are there any other little commissions we could carry out for you? Again, with many thanks and hoping against hope that we may see you on June 4th. What a pleasure for us that would be! As ever, George H. FOrlpyth, Jr. Chairman GHF:SMP Air Mai 1 |
