Description	Page 1) One-page typewritten letter on Indiana University stationery (Department of Sociology) addressed to Dr. Atiya from John H. Mueller, chairman, Patten Foundation Committee, dated November 7, 1956. The content of the letter regarding Dr. Atiya's receipt of a reservation card for a single room and bath from the Indiana Memorial Union to be used beginning February 12, 1957. Dr. Mueller also brings up the possibility of Dr. Atiya reserving a suite of rooms that could accommodate family members. Mueller also asks for the outline for the printed program of Dr. Atiya's talks in February 1957. Page 2) One-page typewritten letter on Union Theological Seminary (New York) letterhead, dated November 11, 1956, addressed to Dr. John H. Mueller, Chairman, Patten Foundation Committee, Indiana University, from Dr. Aziz Atiya. Dr. Atiya thanks Dr. Mueller for his letter of November 7, 1956. Dr. Atiya mentions that he would like to take advantage of the suite of rooms offered by Dr. Mueller, and that the $10 per day charge "is quite reasonable." Dr. Atiya encloses a copy of his UNESCO curriculum vitae which he updated for their archives "on the occasion of [Atiya's] election as Consultant to the International Commission for the Scientific and Cultural History of Mankind."

How we can definitely look forward to the coming event with interest and expectation* It is my earnest hope to make this visit one of mutual profit, and it will certainly be a joy to renew associations with I.U* The idea of a suite of two re eras at tao Union is fine and acceptable* As you have remarked, it will provide me wit i a reception space where I can work comfortably, and in the meantime accoraiodete my family on one or two occasions when they accompany me to Indiana* The rate of $10-.is quite reasonable I have not yet had the reservation card you mentioned* I shall be happy to send the Union a written confirmation, and perhaps you could kindly instruct them by telephone accordingly, Again thank you for tae trouble. Though I shall send you shortly the project of a plan of the program leaflet for advance publicity, I venture for the time being to enclose the UIIE3C0 Curriculum Vitae w.-icli I have brought up-to-date as much as possible* This was requested by uVESCG for their archives on the occasion of my election as Consultant to the International Commission for the Scientific and Cultural History of Mankind* I am much obliged to you for the suggestion that i may still organize other talks outside Bloomington city.
