Page 2: Hand-written note dated November 7, 1955 on Columbia University (New York), Department of Near and Middle East Languages letterhead addressed to Mr. Atyia from ?? (not legible). Page 3: A type-written letter on Columbia University (New York), School of International Affairs letterhead to Dr. Atiya from and signed by Schuyler C. Wallace, director, School of International Affairs at Columbia University, dated October 1, 1956. Page 4: Type-written letter to Aziz Atiya from John H. Mueller, chairman, Department of Sociology, Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, dated December 7, 1956, regarding Dr. Atiya's lectures at Indiana University in February 1957. Page 5: A brief type-written letter from Dean Paulsen, secretary to John Mueller at Indiana University, requesting a glossy photograph of Dr. Atiya for publicity purposes for his upcoming lectures. Addressed to Dr. Atiya and dated January 25, 1957. Page 6: Type-written letter on Union Theological Seminary letterhead addressed to Dr. Aziz S. Atiya at University of Michigan, Department of Near Eastern Studies, Ann Arbor, Michigan, from Randolph H. Dyer, Treasurer. The letter is dated July 10, 1956, and is regarding the electrical appliances to be included in the Atiya's apartment in McGiffert Hall located on the campus of the Union Theological Seminary. The correspondence notes that the electricity is "d.c." direct current, and that Mrs. Atiya should be aware that appliances requiring "a.c." alternating current cannot be used in the apartment, as they would be ruined. Page 7: Type-written letter from Randolph H. Dyer at the Union Theological Seminary to Dr. Atiya at the University of Michigan advising him that the earliest date for Dr. and Mrs. Atiya to occupy the apartment on campus would be September 10, 1956. The letter is dated March 26, 1956, and is on the Seminary's letterhead. Page 8: Type-written letter from John H. Mueller, chairman Patten Foundation Committee, addressed to Dr. Atiya in New York City. The letter is dated October 22, 1956, and is on Indiana University, Department of Sociology letterhead, and is in regard to an appointment for Dr. Atiya at the University. Page 9: Type-written letter from John H. Mueller at Indiana University addressed to Dr. Atiya at Columbia University, McGifford Hall, 99 Claremont, New York 27, New York. The letter is regarding a previous letter apparently sent to Dr. Atiya at an "antiqated" address, in which Mr. Mueller was seeking to engage Dr. Atiya as a lecturer for a short period of time in 1957 or 1958 at Indiana University.
