Show ASUU PUBLIC AFFAIRS BOARD -sponsored community relations luncheons -sponsored community relations banquet in the Fine Arts Museum in February -coordinated lobbying efforts with the Board of Regents, the Governor, and the Legislature to express the students' point of view on issues such as tuition - inspired a long-term study on tuition policy to be undertaken by the Utah State Board of Regents COMMUNICATIONS BOARD -sponsored Religious Awareness Week -sponsored monthly campus events calender, "Yours to Enjoy" -sponsored physical fitness program, "Run For Your Life" -planned forums and presentations with numerous student organizations FINANCE BOARD -conducted internal audit investigating all student organizations receiving ASUU funds - revised financial policies and procedures. -improved inventory control of goods purchased with ASUU funds -revised budget request forms -maintained close contact with many organizations assisting them in preparation of requests and testifying on behalf of many, organizations in Assembly committee meetings. PROGRAMS BOARD Fine Arts -sponsored: the Bob Hope Collegiate Talent Contest, photography contest, literary contest, December Festival of the Arts, Norwood Puppet Theater, May Festival of the Arts, Challenge Lecture Series with: Ellen Burstyn, academy award winning actress. Jack Carlson, executive secretary of the United States Chamber of Commerce, Jack Anderson, nationally syndicated columnist, Roy Jefferson, AM- American and All-Pro football player, Alene Dalton, Fairy Princess on national television, Phyllis Marriot, President of the American Mothers Association, Hugo Blanco, Panamanian exile, William F. Buckley Jr., founder and editor of the National Review magazine, John Wooden, America's win-ningest basketball coach, Phillip Garvin, producer of the "Religious America" television series. Senator Jake Gam, Jerry Pimm, Jeff Judkins and Buster Matheney, Senator Orrin Hatch, Yitchak Rabin, former Prime Minister of Israel.
