Members of the Cabinet were appointed by ASUU President Craig Harmon last Spring. The six boards and Ombudsman making up the Cabinet provided most of the student services in 1977-78. ACADEMIC AFFAIRS BOARD - introduced College Correlation Committee to promote better communication between Student Advisory Councils and ASUU -planned retreat for Student Advisory Council representatives at Snowbird Autumn quarter - rewrote Student Advisory Council handbook -created six member student-faculty planning committee to improve course evaluation program -revised honors at graduation requirement by the Academic Standards and Evaluation Committee -compiled first extensive roster of honorary societies -sponsored Student Tutorial Service CAMPUS AFFAIRS BOARD - expanded the Student Discount Program -provided campus directory to students free of charge in conjunction with University of Utah Public Relations - provided additional courtesy telephones on campus - planned and implemented a comprehensive advertising and public awareness program -sponsored three National Red Cross blood drives -created the Student Almanac which was sent to each student -sponsored Fall open house to acquaint the campus with ASUU -produced a multi-media presentation on ASUU. 20 |
