Ott Henrieville Ge.rfield County May 19, 1939 was a son of Jaraea and Beulah (Sabins) Hoyt, who set forth fran Ohio to becane pioneers of Utah, James Hoyt having di ed while they were crossing the plains, and his widow· having passed the closing period of her life in the home of her son, Israel, at Nephi. Daniel and Maria (Fuller) Cook:, mat-erna. l grandparents of M,rs. Clarissa A. Hee.ton, came to Utah fran .r.;ngland and died at Nephi . Isr el Hoyt went to the ]faddy River district at t he same time as did the Hee.tons, and later resided with hTs family at Mount Carmel t;1nd Orderville. He was one of the original members of the United Order and was presiding priest at Orderville and Mount Carmel when the church org~nization of the t'MI was under one jurisdiction. He and his wife died at Orderville. Johnathan and Clarissa A. Heaton became t he parents of fifteen children, all of whan attained to maturityt William H. (now deceased) , Johnathan B., Israel H., Ira H., Junius H., Hannah E., Clarissa Amy , Rebecca , Daniel H., Lyn H., Harold H., M:ercy (deceased) , Timothy, Elsa , and Harriet. Mrs. Clarissa A. Heaton and several of her children, with their families , reside at Alton, a.nd here the subject of t i1is review passed his summers. "In 1878 Mr . Heaton married ~Ki ss Lucy Elizabeth Carroll, a sister of ~ Bishop Edward Carroll , in whose personal sketch on other pages of this publica tion is given adequate record of t he family . The children of this uni :m are eleven in number: Charles C., Fred C., Esther, Keziah , Christo-pher C., Ed~rd , Lucy, Ella, Sterli.ng, Gilbert G., and Amy. The mother of this group of children resides at Moccasin, Arizona , as do several of her children with their fami lies, and t here the husband and father passed the winter seasons.
