Show #24, page 4 Sunday Masses. As the invitation came as a total surprise, I believed that it was in the lord's will that I accept it. It turned out that the theme of the Quiet Day was to be the Pentecostal ren8wal in term~ of the doctrine and tradition of the Epi s copal Church ~ It seemed quite an undertaking. However, the warm, lo~rng welcome at Oran oe ~ounty .~irport by my hostess, Mrs Lynne Moody, and subsequently by Fr Davis and his wife, did much to allay my qualms, and the prayer fellowship at a meeting on Friday niqht strenqthened and encouraged me for the two days ahe~d. And the lord certain]y blessed us all during those two days, and I shall long remember loli th thankfulness the loving, supportive pastor and parish of St Michael ond All Anaels in Corona del Mar. Afterwards, I spent two quiet days on my ow~ at the lovely, restful St ~~ry's Retreat House in Santa Barbara~ run by the good Sisters of the Holy Nativity. She died, aged 87, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on October 5th, after a long illness. To Father, and all the members of his family, we at Hat Rock Valley Retreat Center extend our love and sympathy, We also have to announce with sadness the death of our friend and ~ellow-worker, RICHARD W. DqABBLE. hIe miss his felloLJship, his heIpfulness and his humor, and pray that he has now entered into the joy of his Lord. He was 66 ye~s old when he died in the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, of general debility and complications followinq two open-heart surgical operations.
