It simply declares the ancient Faith of the Church and her modern discipline, indicating what it means to be a disciple. You who have so generously helped to make St. Christopher's Mission what it is, will certainly want to know more of what gives it its driving power. I T IHE Summer has been rich in visitors - if we even tried to list them all, we'd have no space for Ie5S i-mpDrtant matters. Our chief regret is that we are able to devote so little time to entertaining them - it would be very easy to stop being missionaries and just pleasant entertainers. Fortunately, our guests seem to understand this, and are happy just to be shown around and then left to entertain themselves. But we must mention an all too short visit from the Macdonalds of Akron and their son Bob. Clyde and Phyllis Macdonald have certainly done more, and suffered far more, for the Mission than anyone can realize. They have shown slides and lectured in hundreds of place.s in the middle west, got themselves nearly smashed to pieces on a snowy night returning from one of these engagements, and spent many months in the hospital. It was a joy to see them again, mobile and enthusiastic as ever. God bless them! I 0 I UR clinic has not been idle, and we are fortunate to have had two professiona nurses - Jo Pontious and then Ethel Mac Dowell - so that Ca therine Pickett wa. able to get away for a long overdue vacation. She took Jeannette with her and visited friends and relatives in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Maine. She is now back on her job here and Jeannette i.s of course back in school. During the Summer the clinic admitted fewer tha~ usual - but the out-patient load, including numerous squaw-dance casualties, has unfortunately held well!
