In most cases they are In good condition. On all headgates and turnouts the vulcan type of lifting device is used. There are no individual turnout structures on the laterals.These turnouts are accomplished t>y openings in the banks and are operated by temporary checks of brush and rock in the lateral. Drainage. Drainage has been necessary in but one place near the-town of Jfytonv There. i3^a tract of land here which. ;. has become waterlogged 3ince the irrigation of the lands above it. A start was made at constructing a drain ditch - and $10,000 expended to that end.
