Just at - present we particularly need the good will of these people. We have launched our fight to save the water. During the month of February leases and oontraots were exeouted by whioh 2560 aores of raw land will be placed under a state of cultivation. To date, no Indian has refused to execute one of these oontraots, although many of them think they are conferring a great favor upon this office when they do so, and should this office gain their ill will, they would undoubtedly retaliate by refusing to execute these contracts and our program to save the water would be greatly retarded the reby.
