Show - 13- AD: Um hum. GT: Did your family ever go over to Towaoc very much? AD: When my dad was living? GT: Um hum. AD: I can't recall. GT: Do you recall any of the Bear dances being over here in your time? AD: No. GT: Sun dances? AD: No. GT: Do you have people in the community that you can recall that are considered to be like Medicinemen or Medicine people? Are there any people that are recognized that way? AD: Here? GT: Here. Do the people here ever use the Navajo people that way? AD: Yes. They used to back 72, 73. GT: Not so much now? AD: No, I've never seen but during those years they used to have a whole bunch of singing, like our family and over here and way on top, about every week, maybe, they used to have it, but now they hardly do. GT: Why do you think that is? Do you think that there's more animosity between the Navajos and the Utes? AD: I don't know. GT: Do you think the two groups- do you think the two groups are as friendly as they were twenty years ago? |
