Description each contestant. 8. Three copies of each entry are required. Names or otlier means ox identification must not ^ j%^ah t* on the manuscripts. Each entry must be accompanied by ope separate Bg x 11 sheet bearing name and. address or author, title, first line of entry and the division in which it is to be entered. 9. Manuscripts must be typewritten and double spaced and the number of lines for uoefcry and number of words for all other categories written on tHe first page of the entry. 10. Judges are selected by the Contest Chairmen and members of the Sa^a Committee. Judges have the right to award or not award prizes or honorable mention to entries. The judges' decision will be final. 11. Entries oust be postmarked no later than April 1, 1990. For return of manuscript Dlease include full size envelope and sufficient postage. 12. All entries must be addressed to Sanpete Historical Writing Contest c/o Eleanor P. Madsen, 295 East 1st North, Ephraim, Utah 846?7, or to Lillian H, Fox, 140 North 1st West, Manti, Utah 846A2. 13. Winners will be announced at a special awards program that will be held for that purpose. 14. In evaluating the writing the following criteria will be considered: Poetry: Length must not exceed ^2 lines a. Message or theme b. Form and pattern c. Accomplishment of purpose d. Climax Historical 3s say and Personal Recollection: Len,Tth must not exceed 1500 words.
