Th e 1984 ’ population o f the Salt L ake/O gd en SM SA is now estim ated at 1,006,700. By adding a 30— minute freew ay com m uting trip to include P rovo on th e south, th e labor pool available to a Salt Lake— based firm is boosted to over 1,000,000. T hroughout this five count# area, a high percentage o f th e labor force has attended the State’s colleges, universities or technical schools.
