The Lower Dam We have seen that in moving the Dam from the site of 1876 to that of 1879, much excellent water , springing up in and along the river was lost. After moving back to the 1876 site in 1881 and again in 1891, there was still a usable amount of this good water springing up below the Dam. In a meeting of the St. Joseph Irrigation Co., held April 5, 1897. a motion was passed that this water be obtained. The site chosen for the purpose of building a Lower Dam to divert clear water vas near the western boundary of Sedtion 36, hiNB 18 Ramee 19 East.
