Show have had some very sick childrent but are a little better. Emmas bab, .. 1!:arl died. April. 2, l-90.S. lie was born .April 29, 1S07. April 6 - Hyrum took sick with ~ever and sore throat am billousness. Felt quite g&d for several days, then all the rest took their turn at it and all have caused co~siderable anxiety and work to care for them. Gardens look quite nice. May 3, 1908 we held a 11 ttle family meeting too.ay and 1~artha was baptised this morning by her father and confii>ned in our meeting also by her father. We named our baby Hi chard and had him blessed by our son Samuel in our meeting. It is very cold n nd stormy today. We are all well again. May 6 Our little grand gaughter Ruth has been quite ill ror a few dnys teething is the cause. here Samrni e and Stella left/with Pa to go to Juarez. Pa came back July 31, 1908. We have had rain so mcy and the largest flood we've had since we've been here. It destroyed our wheat an d melons nearly all. My dear mother came to live with us on Thanksgiving day and lived with us until Jan ... 12, 1909 when she quietly passed away. After suffering quite severely for several hours •.All ~he could say nearly was about going hone. She died about 3 a.m. on the 12th. She would have 11 ved to be 80 years old if she had lived until Feb. 2l~t. John and Saromi e came over from .Tuarez on Jan. 4th. Sammie stayed to help or work for rome land. John went back Jan. 12.
