The uniforms of some of the Liberal March ing Clubs were especially elaborate and the Liberals took exotic names includ ing Scott's Zouaves, Moritz Hussars, Scandinavian Knights, P. H. Lannan Cadets, and the Flambeau Club. Most of the other Liberal Clubs used the number of the municipal ward political club with which they associated and in addition included the name of one of its most prominent members.
