Show 193 I t was a large canvas, crumpled and gathered in folds piled on top of each other and s t i l l covering most of the bottom of the tub. The folds caused abrupt discontinuities of color and l i n e . A fat angleworm nestling in folds of grey earth was severed by a r o t t i n g patchwork q u i l t of mottled greens and reds and oranges in i t s turn cut o f f by a sheet of blue sky on which a t i n y rose floated.
