Show Orion is up there in heaven, or some go paints the image in the firmament of th soul? The relations of parts and the end o the whole remaining the same, what is th difference, whether land and sea interact and worlds revolve and intermingle without number or end,-deep yawning unde deep, & galaxy balancing galaxy, throughout abdolute space, or, whether, withou relations of time and space, the sam ap pearances are inscribed in the constan faith of man. Whether nature enjoy a substantial existence without, or is only in th apocalypse of the mind, it is alike usefu and alike venerable to me. Be it what i may, it is ideal to me, so long as I canno try the accuracy of my senses The frivolous make themselves merry wit the Ideal theory, as if its consequence were burlesque; as if it affected the stability of nature. It surely does not. God neve jests with us, and will not compromise th end of nature, by permitting any inconsequence in its procession.
