Show SUMMARY This paper presented basic information on the THERMAL DENOx Process chemistry, listed equipment which is used in operating the process, presented information on over 100 applications firing many different fuels, and detailed process performance on two Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers which have been operating with the THERMAL DEN Ox Process since 1989. Operating and emissions data shows that in one application, the THERMAL DENOx Process reduced NOx more than 76% in flue gas from coal fuel, while in the other application, the THERMAL DENOx Process reduced NOx more than 64 % in flue gas from waste wood fuels. The text includes updated cost estimates, in 1992 dollars, of totally erected costs for like THERMAL DENOx systems supplied today for like Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers. Cost effectiveness in terms of $/TON of NOx Removed were also estimated for these type of THERMAL DENOx systems operating at Circulating Fluidized Bed Boilers using the plant operating data, the updated cost estimates, and recently reported operating cost parameters. |
