The c.1897 portion of the Centerfield Meetinghouse is a part of the second phase, as it was built for the newly created Centerfield Ward and was a part of the reorganization of the IDS church that was occurring at that time. It does not however, fit into the architectural mold of most churches of the period. According to one study it is an "oddity...unique, but not progressive."17 17 Ibid. |
