Access to the older building is through a central single door. What appears to have been a larger opening into the other space has been boarded. The other room is also a large open space. At about 18 inches, the walls are much thicker than the 1897 portion of the building. The window jambs have a much more pronounced splay. The ceiling is flat and the floor has wider wood boards than the other room. The building is currently under rehabilitation. At approximately 140 South Main Street, the building is part of a town square that includes a 1909 schoolhouse that is now used as the town hall. There are no trees on the site and the grass is sparse. There is a path that leads to the front door. Parking is on the street. |
