Show Incinerator WorkGroup (IWG) Reciprocating IC Engines Work Group (RICE) Responsible for nonhazardous waste incineration units including: industrial and commercial waste incinerators (ICWI), and other solid waste incinerators (OSWI). The ICCR process also covered incineration units burning < 3 0 % municipal solid wastes, and < 1 0% hospital and medical infectious wastes. Section 129 and Section 112 address H A P emissions from these units. Other M A C T standards cover large municipal waste units combusting > 250 tons per day (tpd) and medical waste incinerators. Responsible for stationary reciprocating internal combustion (IC) engines. The ICCR process did not cover engines used in transportation equipment. Section 112 addresses H A P emissions from IC engines. Process Heaters WorkGroup (PHWG) Responsible for indirect-fired process heaters including refinery, petrochemical, drying ovens, and other process heaters not covered by other rulemaking activities. Section 112 addresses H AP emissions from most process heaters. Although no units have been identified, there is a possibility that Section 129 and Section 111 will address some units. Economics - Supported activities of the equipment work groups to determine Work Group (EWG) whether H A P emissions for certain equipment should be regulated at emission levels below the M A C T floor. The evaluation included comparison of health benefits to cost of the proposed controls. Testing Methods & Performance ( T M P W G) Supported data collection and analysis processes and recommended validated measurement procedures. Assisted the work groups to formulate test plans. Recommended potential HAPs to be regulated because they are suitable surrogates for other H A P s that may be emitted by affected combustion units. SUBGROUPS During the ICCR process the coordinating committee had also established temporary subgroups to investigate and present recommendations on issues that affect more than one work group as follows: 1. Information Collection Request Task Group: - This group produced an efficient information collection form for combustion units firing nonfossil fuels. C:\jps\iccr\overviewa 2 |
