Show 28‘ BOARD OF REGENTS., Special meeting, 1 p.m.. April 1, 1907. A special meeting of the Board of Regents was held in the usual place at l p.m.. Monday. April 1st, 1907. There was present, Chairman Riter, and Regents Pierce, Van Gott.. Lund,Little, Young, Plummer, Kingsbury, and Kin-‘ ney. The minutes of January 14th, 1907, were read and approved. The following communication from President Kingsbury concerning University matters was read. rv/ April 1, 1907 . Hon. W. W. Riter. chairman Board of Regents. Dear Sir :~ 1 law passed by the last legislature provided that "instruction in the preparatory. normaljand arts and science courses in the University of Utah shall be free to the actual residents of the state of Utah, but an entrance fee not to exceed twenty dollars may be required annually; and the Board of Regents must require a tuition from non-residents in either of said courses not exceeding fifty dollars. Regents The Board of must fix an annual tuition for each of the other osurses in the University of Utah in a sum not exceeding one hundred fifty dollars for non-residents" It is suggested that an annual registration fee of ten dollars be required of all students and that a tuition fee fifteen dollars additional per year be charged for non- |
