A reinforced concrete structure 1,500 second-feet capacity, 89 feet long, containing 7 openings closed by stop-planks. Structure is also used as bridge over Main canal. Excavation: 304 cu. yds. Constructed between April, 1912, and May, 1912. Resident Engineer, L. M. Strang; foreman, H. Stevenson. Reinforced concrete structure of two openings. Capacity of 50 second-feet, for control of canal supplying 3,000 acres. Excavation: 315 cu. yds. Cost $78.75 Cost per yd. $0.25 Concrete: 54 " " Cost 908.87 Cost per yd. 16.83 Other items cost 47.88 Total cost $1,035.50 Picacho Bridge. Timber Howe truss, two spans, 90 feet. Supported on concrete abutments and one central pier. Built to carry Picacho road across Main canal. (Fig. 6.) Built between December, 1911, and March, 1912. |
