Show THE CHURCH REVIEW

Territorial News.
CONGREGATIONAL, OGDEN.
The benediction of Heaven surely rests upon Ogden City, because of her deeds of charity and beneficence of so many ways. The "associations," "societies," "home for the friendless" and city and county authorities, churches and individuals, all are banded in the common cause of Christianity at home. The churches and church schools, which dot the west "on every bill," are monuments for good, built and maintained largely by the generous people of the east, so that any criticisms upon a lack of charity at home or abroad, such as was so ably answered in last week's REVIEW, must fail of its object, when the facts are known.
The thanks of all Christian people are due those in authority who have enforced the Sunday closing ordinance against the saloons. Is it merely a coincidence that the jail committees found no inmates who were city offenders when they made their last two Sunday visits?

BAPTI |
