Show THE CHURCH REVIEW
PRESBYTESIAN.
VOL. 3 / SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH / JANUARY 13, 1895 / No. 3

FIRST PRESBYTERIAN.
Another earnest Christian and faithful member of the church, Mrs. Sara M. Sage, mother of Mr. T. L. Sage, went to her rest and her reward last Tuesday morning. The funeral took place at Mr. Sage's residence at 3:30 Wednesday, and the body was sent to St. Louis, where she had her home for over fifty years, before coming to this city in 1891. Mrs. Sage had recently passed her 82nd birthday, and had been a faithful Christian for about sixty-seven years. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord."
Dr. Wishard is engaged in holding special meetings at American Fork where the Rev. J. A. L. Smith is the pastor. Within a few years we expect to see Christianity the controlling religion in the Utah valley.
"What an interesting meeting that was," said one after another last Sunday morning, at the close of the annual meeting of the congregation |
