Show Annual AII-------~:..~~~~;:::_Exh ibition Congratulations to the wonderful artists who had paintings selected for the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies 40th Exhibition! One hundred paintings were selected to hang in the Museum of Texas Tech University from about a thousand entries. An Exhibition of this size requires a great deal of planning and many hours of work. For the last four years the WFWS40 Committee has been working hard finding a venue, juror, framer, donors, etc. and their work has been greatly appreciated. The West Texas Watercolor Society members have been very generous whenever they were asked for help with the Exhibition. The Lubbock community has helped greatly with donations, framing, printing, and grants as well as being very welcoming to our juror, artists, workshop participants, delegates, and show visitors. Linda Baker did a wonderful job of selecting the one hundred paintings in the show as well as the award winners. She selected a beautiful show of varied techniques and subject matters. The show contains abstract as well as realistic images. We appreciate Linda's work in selecting a diverse and interesting show. Carol Peterson Project Manager |
